OfSTED recognises improvements at Beechwood Primary

Beechwood Primary School, which previously received an inadequate rating before joining the Trust, has shown that it is making significant progress according to a recent inspection. Inspectors found that most pupils are positive and respectful, with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receiving strong support. The school has also implemented a recently reviewed curriculum.

While there's still work to be done on fully embedding some subjects, the overall results are a positive sign for Beechwood Primary. The school is demonstrably on the right track, making improvements to ensure all students receive a good education.

Celebrating Specific Achievements

  • Early Years Excellence: “Early Years staff prioritise communication and language. Staff and children have very positive relationships. Adults question children with warmth and a deliberate focus on building children’s vocabulary. The learning environment is used effectively.” The school is especially delighted that inspectors recognised the exceptional care provided for its youngest learners.

The curriculum is adapted carefully to help pupils with SEND build the knowledge and skills that they need.” Beechwood Primary is pleased that Ofsted acknowledged the significant improvements made in SEND provision across the school.
  • Positive and Respectful Behavior: “Pupils’ behaviour is positive and respectful.” The school takes great pride in its inclusive environment, reflected in the “good” behaviour and attitudes judgement.
